In 2019 we acquired a vintage Jail Break arcade machine that was in terrible condition. Although the game board worked, the monitor did not work, and none of the buttons worked. The cabinet was in terrible shape, with a lot of damaged wood along the bottom and missing chunks of wood. Our restoration process began with removing all components of the machine and sanding down all the exterior wood. We then stripped all the old wiring and repaired all the damaged wood with Bondo. Then it was painted with two coats of primer and three coats of high quality wood paint. The coin door was fully wire brushed and stripped and repainted.
New T-molding was added, new speakers, new wheels, all new wiring harness and brand new artwork was purchased add applied. The machine received new glass and a brand new multi game board that plays hundreds of vintage games – there are 1,300 games including fan favorites like Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Galaga, King of Fighters, Marvel Super Heroes, and much more. The control panel was upgraded with new Industrious Lorenzo high quality joy sticks and buttons, exactly to what would have been installed on machines produced back in the 80’s and 90’s. The old CRT monitors were replaced with modern LCD monitors for less weight with better picture, with a 4:3 aspect ratio, to be exactly like the old arcade machines. These new LCD monitors are lighter and more reliable. Almost every facet of this arcade machine was restored to like new, original condition. It is completely functional and ready for home or office use. It accepts $.25 coins and can be set to free play or paid play.
